Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the Decisions API, the website at decisionsapi.cc and the API at api.decisionsapi.cc (together, the “Service”), operated by decisionsapi.cc (“we”, “us”). By creating an API key, buying credits or calling the API, you agree to these terms. If you use the Service for a company, you confirm you can accept these terms on its behalf.

1. The Service

The Decisions API takes context and questions with a fixed set of possible answers and returns one answer per question with probabilities. Answers are generated by machine-learning models. They are probabilistic and can be wrong.

decisionsapi.cc is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or connected to OpenAI or TypeSafe.

2. API keys

An API key is the credential for your credits. Anyone holding it can spend them, so keep it secret and on your servers.
We show a new key once, right after purchase. We store only a one-way hash, so we cannot show it again. If you lose a key, contact us from the email you paid with and we will move your remaining credits to a new key.
You are responsible for all usage made with your key.

3. Credits and payment

The Service is prepaid. You buy credit packs at the prices shown on the pricing page, in US dollars. Payments are processed by Stripe.
One credit pays for one API call with up to 4,000 input tokens. Larger calls use one more credit for every further 4,000 tokens. Calls that return an error are not charged.
Credits do not expire, have no cash value, and cannot be transferred or resold.
We may change prices for future purchases. Credits you already bought keep working at the rate you paid for.
Refunds are covered by the Refund Policy.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to use the Service to:

break any law, or process data you have no right to process;
make fully automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects on people (for example credit, employment, housing, insurance, medical or legal outcomes) without meaningful human review;
harass, surveil or discriminate against people, or produce content that exploits minors;
probe, overload or disrupt the Service, get around rate limits, or share keys to avoid paying;
resell raw access to the API, or use its outputs to train a model that competes with it.

We may suspend a key that breaks these rules or puts the Service at risk. Where we can, we will tell you first.

5. Your data

You keep all rights to the context you send and the answers you receive. We process request content only to return the answer, and we do not keep it after the response. See the Privacy Policy.

6. Availability

We aim to keep the Service fast and available, but we do not guarantee uptime or a particular latency. We may change, add or retire features. If we ever shut the Service down, we will give at least 30 days’ notice by email and refund unused credits.

7. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You are responsible for checking whether answers are good enough for your use, for example by measuring accuracy on your own data and sending low-confidence answers to a person.

8. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim about the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Changes and termination

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the latest version, and material changes will be announced on this page before they take effect. You can stop using the Service at any time. Sections 3 (as to amounts owed), 7 and 8 survive termination.
